In Memoriam Clément Schertzinger
Unfortunately we have to mourn the loss of former FICEP president and honorary president of FSCF Clément Schertzinger.
As a board member, Secretary General and then President of the International Catholic Federation of Physical and Sports Education (FICEP) from 2003 to 2009, he played an active role in developing exchanges between European sports and educational movements. His bilingualism, his ability to foster dialogue and his extensive knowledge of the voluntary sector earned him widespread recognition.
FICEP/FISEC Games 2026-International Friendship and Competitions
The FICEP FISEC Games were held from 13th to19th of July in Budapest. Nearly 1000 participants from 15 countries competed in six sports: Athletics, Basketball, Futsal, Swimming, Table Tennis and Volleyball. The young organising team from the Great Saint Albert Association did a great job and provides perfect games for the young athletes.
Youth Shaping Europe: INVEST Volunteers at the FICEP Congress in Munich
Young volunteers from across Europe gathered in Munich in mid-April to organize the international FICEP Youth Congress together—and to grow personally in the process.
FICEP Youth Congress Munich
The third FICEP Youth Congress took place in Munich (Germany) from 10th to 12th of April , 2026, under the motto “”You make the difference” – How can I attract and retain volunteers?”. The aim of this congress was to inform federations and club members about their possibilities to gain new volunteers and approach new target groups, as well as how to communicate with a multilanguage groups.
FICEP General Assembly 2026-Welcome FMST
The FICEP General Assembly was hosted by Member DJK in Munich at the Catholic Academy of Bayern. With the Fédération Malienne de Sport pour Tous, FICEP was able to welcome a new member from Mali.
FICEP/FISEC Games 2026
The FISEC-FICEP Games 2026 will take place from 13th of July until 19th of July in Budapest/Hungary, hosted by Great Saint Albert Association. The center of the Games will be the Ludovika Campus. The slogan is YES, Youth Education Sport.

The ‘Fédération Internationale Catholique d’Education Physique et sportive’ – abbreviated FICEP – was founded as ‘Union Internationale des Oeuvres Catholiques d’Education Physique’ in 1911 and currently consists of 10 member states and 10 associations. Its current name was given to the organisation in 1947. The FICEP is an international sports association acting on the basis of ethical ideals of Christianity, advocating the Christian ideas of man in sports and communities.
