The Sports Commission is mostly responsible for sports issues and is based on the desires and necessities of FICEP, its affiliated associations and all the contacts with the world of sport. Its mission consists, for instance, in: .:
- considering, discussing and dealing with the ways in which FICEP’s sports policy is to be implemented
- defining FICEP’s objectives
- determining the directives for running the FICEP Games, FICEP Masters and sporting events
- making contact with representatives of the sporting world
- observing and influencing trends in sport
- creating the rules for FICEP sports
- etc….
Each member country of FICEP has the right to delegate a representative to the Sports Commission. At the proposal of these representatives, the General Meeting elects a chairman of the Sports Commission.
The Sports Commission meets twice a year, once in the spring during the FICEP Congress and once in the autumn in which a member country of FICEP acts as the host.
